The exhibition illustrates the often-overlooked contributions of women working behind the scenes of post-war Italian cinema through rare archival photographs and biographies.
Produced in collaboration with Cineteca di Bologna, the exhibition is an output of the Arts and Humanities Research Council project 'Women in Italian Film Production: Industrial Histories and Gendered Labour, 1945-1985'.

The exhibition is supported by COMITES London and endorsed by the Italian Cultural Institute of London.
After the launch, the exhibition will be open to the public free of charge during the opening hours of the cinema from 3–17 July 2026.
A special screening of Visconti's epic adaptation of The Leopard will also take place on Friday 10 July at 19.30 at Regent Street Cinema. The screening will be followed by a discussion about the film's screenwriter Suso Cecchi D’Amico with Stephen Gundle and Visconti scholar Rossana Capitano.

- screenings of interview extracts with women from the Italian film industry,
- a panel discussion with contemporary Italian female filmmakers and industry professionals,
